Carlton
Honours:
2007 NAB AFL Rookie Draft Pick No. 34
2008 Senior promotion & Debut
2009 Carlton Coach's Award

Originally from Swan Districts in WA, David is a small lively midfielder/forward who is very capable in front of goal and a consistently high possession winner. He showed his ability as a goalkicker when he kicked three goals on debut for the Swan Districts at senior level in the WAFL in 2007. David played one senior game against West Coast in Perth in 2007 and performed well with the Northern Bullants during the 2008 season.

In 2009, Dave capped off a stellar season with the Northern Bullants by being rewarded the Northern Bullants Laurie Hill Trophy winner as the club's Best and Fairest player. The award is great credit for the young on-baller who also received a Carlton Coach's Award from Brett Ratten and also was named the Northern Bullants Defensive Player of the Year.

Ellard is a promising player and the Carlton Football Club will be hoping to see the youngster develop into an accomplished footballer in the next couple of years and become part of a successful Blues line-up.
