A versatile tall, Daniel has been pivotal to the dominance enjoyed by the Brisbane Lions in recent years. A Victorian who hails from Wodonga, Daniel was recruited to the Lions in the 1995 National Draft.
Although somewhat underrated (due to the shadow of bigger names at the club), he established himself as a dominant forward, with the versatility to be moved to defense when required. A great mark and accurate kick, Daniel has remained loyal to the Lions, despite offers to move back to Victoria during an impressive career in Brisbane.

A member of the Brisbane Lions first premiership, Bradshaw proved his value with a great performance during the 2001 finals campaign. Despite inconsistent form in 2002, he returned to play a vital role in the Lions 2003 triumph. In 2005, Daniel showed his true value to the club as a key position player reaching his 150th AFL game complemented by a club record nine goal haul against Melbourne resulting in a first ever Lions goal kicking title. In the absence of the Lions other key forwards, Bradshaw became the focal point for the Lions kicking 42 goals in 19 games and joining Alistair Lynch as the only lion to kick 300 or more goals for the club.

His brilliant form continued into the 2006 season kicking 59 goals and playing every game for that year. The versatile full forward signed a 3 year deal with the Lions over the 2007 pre-season which will see him remain in Brisbane until the end of 2009, adding to the club a wealth of experience and talent up forward as the club continues to rebuild and develop its younger players.

Daniel was sorely missed in 2007 after a knee reconstruction ended his season but has returned to AFL in superb fashion in 2008, booting 43 goals in 11 games at the half-way mark of the season.
