Whilst the Cats are eager to win back the Premiership after their disappointing loss against the Hawks in 2008, St Kilda’s hunger to win the Flag for their supporters is at an all time high, as they haven’t held the cup since 1966.

Whilst it might seem like Selwood & Mooney have now become accustomed to playing in the Grand Final, their excitement levels are at the top of the richter scale. Stephen Milne on the otherhand hasn’t been as fortunate to have the grand final experience, however after a solid season with the Saints, the goalsneak will be ready to roar.

Stride would also like to acknowledge Mathew Stokes (Geelong FC) & Robert Eddy (St Kilda FC), who were both unfortunate to miss out on the big game. Understandably, both Stokes & Eddy were devastated, however the pair have quickly moved on from the fact that they won’t be playing and they will both be there on the sideline supporting their fellow team mates. Their contributions throughout the year have got their respective clubs to the big day.
