Kyle is a talented backman recruited from North Ballarat, having played his junior football for Warracknabeal. Kyle had a consistent 2007 season at Under 18 level and as a result was selected to represent the Vic Country squad in the National Championships. To top Kyle’s year off, the young gun was named in the s TAC Cup U18’s team of the year.
Having improved both his speed and endurance markedly over the pre-season, Cheney was given the opportunity to debut during round 1 of the 2009 season. The young gun from Warracknabeal finished the season playing a total of 12 games.
The skilful defender, known for his fierce attack on the ball alongside his strong hands, will no doubt prove to be an exciting and talented player for the Demons.
